- Validators and governance ship it. Terraform Labs does not.
SPLITLUNC & LUNALUNC is Terra Classic (columbus-5). LUNA is Terra (phoenix-1). There is no redemption between them. Sending either ticker to the other chain does not arrive and is not a conversion. A price ratio is spot value only.

Both chains use a terra1 account prefix. The prefix does not tell you the chain. A columbus-5 address can be pasted into a phoenix-1 wallet and still not arrive.
EDUCATION
The split
Columbus-5 was renamed Terra Classic. The ticker is LUNC. UST became USTC. Market swaps were disabled. Balances stayed.
Phoenix-1 launched as a second chain. Genesis was scheduled for 27 May 2022. Public trading was 28 May 2022. There is no algorithmic stable. Genesis supply was 1 billion LUNA. 700 million was allocated to Classic stakeholders. That allocation did not convert LUNC into LUNA.

- On-chain supply is 1.29B. A separate supply, not a rename.
- A second chain. A LUNC balance is not a balance here.
Not interchangeable
- bLUNC is not bLUNA and not ampLUNA.
- USTC is not SOLID and not USDC.
- A Hyperlane LUNC on another chain is not phoenix-1 LUNA.
- Astroport on Terra is not Astroport Classic.
